The Tim Burton influence is clear to me when I look back on this illustration. While the overall composition was planned out, the intricacies of the tower were decided upon as I went. I allowed myself to be led by the shapes present in the underpainting and made choices as I explored the structure myself. During this process I discovered surprising staircases and hidden doors that were not intended to be present before.

The original work was painted on Canson 140lb 300g cold pressed heavyweight paper. I tis shipped with a signed certificate of authenticity.
