This illustrations is a character design for my painted novel project, JACK MACKEREL AND THE JOURNEY INTO THE DEEP.

The sea fairies are three sisters that help Jack and Hannah on their journey in the archetypal role of fey characters in other folk tales and fables. Lively, unpredictable and childlike, the sisters provide some help, some distraction and some frustration to those they chose to aid.

Painted on Canson 140lb 300g cold pressed heavyweight watercolor paper. Shipped with a signed certificate of authenticity.
